For further information about this position please apply.Role - Power BI developerPermanent positionFully remoteSalary - 40k- 50k 5%- 10% BonusMeetings- Twice per yearCandidate Can be based anywhere in Scotland,Glasgow, Inverness , Aberdeen, Edinburgh Responsibilities -Data Analysis and Structuring: Partner with business analysts and key stakeholders to understand business needs, data sources, and models. Convert raw data into organized, meaningful datasets that support streamlined reporting and insightful analysis.Report and Dashboard Creation: Develop and implement dynamic, interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI. Translate complex data into accessible visualizations, including charts, graphs, and tables, ensuring clarity and ease of use for stakeholders.Data Integration and Transformation: Oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from multiple sources into Power BI. Use Power Query for data cleansing and transformation, ensuring data integrity and uniformity across all sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and cloud services.Performance Enhancement: Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports and dashboards. Enhance the efficiency of data models, queries, and calculations to ensure rapid loading and rendering. Manage and optimize data refresh schedules to guarantee up-to-date information.Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with business partners and end-users to gather requirements and offer ongoing support. Document all aspects of data management, including sources, models, report specifications, and usage guidelines. Lead training sessions and share knowledge to enable effective use of Power BI across the organization.Data Governance and Compliance: Enforce robust data governance policies and security protocols to safeguard sensitive information. Ensure all practices comply with relevant data protection regulations and organizational policies. Administer user roles, permissions, and access within Power BI to maintain data security.Ongoing Learning and Innovation: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in Power BI, including new features, best practices, and industry trends. Experiment with innovative visualizations, custom visuals, and advanced analytics tools to enhance data storytelling and deliver deeper insights. Qualifications and Skills Proven experience in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation, data modeling, and DAX calculations Proficiency in data analysis, data manipulation, and data transformation techniques Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and ETL processes Familiarity with data visualization principles and best practices Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in cross-functional teams Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDesired Skills and ExperienceJob descriptionWe have a current opportunity for a Power BI Developer on a permanent basis.
