Summary: The role is an internship at MathWorks focused on wireless communications engineering, specifically in developing simulation models for next-generation Wi-Fi systems. Interns will receive hands-on training, collaborate with experienced software developers, and contribute to research and performance analysis of wireless systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Research state-of-the-art wireless systems
- Generate simulation models for these systems and study their performance
- Present findings and models to development teams and customer-facing engineers
- Participate in reviews of new features for existing mobile communication products
- Provide feedback to developers, quality, and documentation engineers on their features
- Support the maintenance effort for existing products
Key Skills:
- Pursuing a master's or PhD in a technical discipline
- Programming experience with MATLAB
- Experience in signal processing and communication systems
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi, 5G, or LTE systems is a plus
- Knowledge of machine learning/deep learning is a plus
- Knowledge of communications system level simulations is a plus
- Experience using MathWorks WLAN Toolbox, 5G Toolbox, or LTE Toolbox is a plus
