Summary: The role is an internship at MathWorks focused on wireless communications engineering, specifically in developing simulation models for next-generation Wi-Fi systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Research state-of-the-art wireless systems
  • Generate simulation models for these systems and study their performance
  • Present findings and models to development teams and customer-facing engineers
  • Participate in reviews of new features for existing mobile communication products
  • Provide feedback to developers, quality, and documentation engineers on their features
  • Support the maintenance effort for existing products

Key Skills:

  • Pursuing a master's or PhD in a technical discipline
  • Programming experience with MATLAB
  • Experience in signal processing and communication systems
  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi, 5G, or LTE systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of machine learning/deep learning is a plus
  • Knowledge of communications system level simulations is a plus
  • Experience using MathWorks WLAN Toolbox, 5G Toolbox, or LTE Toolbox is a plus
