Data Contractor (Data Analyst/Power BI Developer)Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated data contractor with expertise in data analysis and/or Power BI development to join one of my client's (FMCG) central (US, UK, EMEA) analytics team.Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions. Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics. Data Visualisation: Create clear and concise data visualisations to present complex datasets in a user-friendly format for various stakeholders. Data Management: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data through effective data management practices. Business Insights: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate those into data-driven insights and solutions. SQL & Data Queries: Write and optimise SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyse data stored in databases. Data Transformation: Use ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to clean, transform, and integrate data from various sources. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, finance, and IT to support data-driven decision-making and reporting needs. Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and improve the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring optimal functionality.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Power BI Developer, or similar role. Proficiency in Power BI (or other BI tools) and data visualisation best practices. Strong knowledge of SQL and database management. Experience with data cleaning and data wrangling. Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipelines. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for Power BI. Knowledge of Python or R for advanced data analysis.
