Summary: The Statutory Reporting Lead will manage the statutory reporting process for a client, ensuring accurate financial reports and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves collaboration with auditors, knowledge transfer, and mentorship of the finance team. The position requires strong leadership and analytical skills to drive financial excellence in a dynamic environment. The role is based on-site three days a week and is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the statutory reporting process for all Group entities, ensuring timely preparation, review, and submission of financial reports.
  • Collaborate with auditors to resolve any issues before filing, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Document and understand all key responsibilities currently managed by the Finance Manager - Corporate, facilitating a seamless transition before their departure.
  • Provide structured handover materials and guidance to the incoming hire to ensure continuity in operations.
  • Support retail and non-retail group activities by reviewing financial reports, journal entries, trial balances, and monthly reporting commentary to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to the Controlling Corporate team, fostering knowledge-sharing and continuous professional development.
