Summary: The Senior SCADA Engineer Representative will be instrumental in the implementation and commissioning of wind farm automation and communication systems in Norwich, UK. This role requires close collaboration with engineering and commissioning teams, serving as the primary site contact for technical support. The successful candidate will ensure that automation deliveries meet specifications and are commissioned on time while adapting to evolving project requirements. A strong background in site-based installation and commissioning within the energy sector is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish a SCADA site presence and act as the first point of contact for technical support.
• Serve as an interface between the SCADA design team and the commissioning team.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and System Integration Testing (SIT), ensuring proper completion and sign-off.
• Conduct quality inspections and report findings to the SCADA design team.
• Supervise the physical deployment of SCADA-related infrastructure and provide feedback to local project teams.

Key Skills:

• A minimum of five years’ site-based installation and commissioning experience within the energy or utilities sector.
• Strong knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts.
• Experience with radio communication systems.
• Understanding of fibre optic and copper cabling standards, including testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with best practices for fibre optic and copper cable installation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation accurately.
• Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with stakeholders on technical matters.
