Summary: The SCADA Tester role is a 6-month contract position with a leading utilities company, offering a hybrid working model that includes both remote work and on-site presence in Warwick. The position focuses on ensuring the reliability and functionality of SCADA systems, particularly OSII Monarch, through collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role involves conducting various testing activities and managing risks and issues throughout the testing lifecycle. There is a strong potential for contract extension beyond the initial term.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct testing to validate the successful transition between Legacy systems and the SCADA environment.
• Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and scenarios to validate system performance.
• Identify, log, and manage risks and issues arising during the testing life cycle in your area of responsibility.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and project leads, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Lead defect triage for your ART Team ensuring the right stakeholders are engaged.

Key Skills:

• Previous project experience with Power utility Transmission networks, functional testing, communication testing, and performance testing.
• Exposure to OSI Monarch Testing Utilities, previous experience of SCADA and Real-Time Control and NMS (Network Monitoring Systems).
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to power systems and control systems engineering (e.g., IEC101, IEC104, GI74, IEC 61850, IEEE standards).
• Monitor and report on the progress of test preparation and execution of JIRA/XRAY Tests.
