Summary: The SIEM Cyber Business Analyst role focuses on consolidating two separate SIEM tools into a single solution for enterprise technology and infrastructure. The position requires strong stakeholder management skills to engage with multiple teams and deliver effective outcomes. The analyst will assess business needs, convert them into requirements, and support the entire development life cycle. This role is predominantly remote, with occasional on-site requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing business needs, converting these into requirements, processes, and producing the documents for solution definition, development, and implementation.
  • Conducting discovery activities for a large-scale user access review (UAR).
  • Collecting, understanding, and transmitting business requirements using the MoSCoW methodology and translating them into functional specifications and detailed test plans.
  • Analysing requirements and ensuring consideration of business and operations areas.
  • Impact assessing change proposals to baselined requirements and providing recommendations.
  • Leading discovery activities for user access reviews or privileged account onboarding.
  • Providing documented proof of test results for business sign-off.
  • Analysing and improving business processes or creating them from scratch.
  • Communicating and simplifying business processes for stakeholder buy-in.
  • Working with Operations and engineers to ensure understanding of processes.
  • Conducting business process modelling and generating applicable scenarios.
  • Performing basic consulting activities in accordance with assignment objectives.
  • Facilitating or chairing meetings with stakeholders and producing supporting documentation.
  • Presenting data in various forms to suit the audience and offering supporting narrative.
  • Identifying and reporting on risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Providing business analysis support to non-business analysis resources.
  • Performing the role of Client Lead on workstreams typically managed by IT.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in Security Incident Event Management (SIEM) programmes.
  • Technical Business Analysis expertise with application of techniques, methods, and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of business modelling techniques and experience in communicating results to senior managers.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining data structures using data analysis and modelling techniques.
  • Ability to create requirements, processes, and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating project artifacts.
  • Experience in stakeholder relationship management and consultancy.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
