Summary: The SEO Content Strategist role involves developing and executing SEO content strategies for a leading health insurance company. The position requires a strong background in SEO and web content management, with a focus on improving website content to enhance search performance. The role is fully remote but candidates must reside in specific states, including North Carolina. The contract duration is expected to be over six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive SEO content strategy across all business segments through detailed content writing and editing.
  • Lead the audit, assessment, enhancement, and monitoring of SEO-driven website content.
  • Analyze organic search performance and monitor KPIs using Customer Journey Analytics.
  • Develop in-house SEO best practices and authoring guidance for organic traffic optimization.
  • Collaborate with SEO and content vendors to create effective long-tail keywords and supporting content.
  • Execute an enterprise SEO strategy aligned with business goals and enhance readers' knowledge of health and insurance.
  • Write, edit, and review content that aligns with the client's brand and guidelines.
  • Facilitate the content review process to ensure timely web publishing.
  • Apply design thinking and UX principles to content authoring.
  • Ensure content meets ADA compliance guidelines for accessibility.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in SEO and web content strategy.
  • Experience with web content management systems.
  • Certifications in SEO best practices.
  • A portfolio showcasing content challenges tackled in previous roles.
  • Initiative and ability to self-start and self-lead.
  • Master’s degree in digital storytelling or related fields (desired).
  • Experience writing for regulated industries with B2B and B2C audiences (desired).
  • Adobe suite experience with AEM platform expertise (desired).
  • A transformational, digital-first mindset (desired).
