Summary: The HR Consultant role is a temporary position lasting four months, focused on providing expert Employee Relations advice and support within an established insurance group. The consultant will work remotely, offering guidance to line managers and employees while ensuring compliance with HR policies. This position requires strong knowledge of employment law and the ability to foster collaborative relationships across departments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert Employee Relations (ER) advice and coaching to line managers and business leads.
  • Stay informed on the latest case law and best practices to educate line managers in managing ER cases.
  • Offer guidance to employees on HR policies and processes as needed.
  • Manage people-related issues efficiently and timely.
  • Foster positive, collaborative relationships across departments and with managers.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with HR interventions and tools, and their practical application.
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards it).
  • Exceptional communication skills across various mediums.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity, demonstrating sound judgment and initiative.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven influencing skills to support the implementation of robust ER processes.
  • Solid decision-making abilities, balancing analysis, experience, and perspective.

Salary (Rate): £21.51
