Summary: The role of Temporary HR Advisor involves providing operational HR support for a construction company in Central London, primarily on a remote basis with occasional site visits. The position focuses on managing various HR functions throughout the employment life cycle, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations. The initial contract is for six months, with the possibility of extension. The advisor will serve as the first point of contact for HR issues that cannot be resolved by the HR Service Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational HR support to all projects within the assigned region.
  • Support the manpower planning process across all appointed sites, including recruitment and possible redundancies.
  • Provide HR advice on industrial relations matters, including trade union involvement and TUPE.
  • Facilitate talent management and career development plans.
  • Link with Learning & Development to encourage training and support initiatives.
  • Support the annual performance review and career development review process.
  • Champion the use of HR systems and provide support to line managers.
  • Provide guidance on pay and reward queries.
  • Advise on disciplinary and grievance matters and monitor attendance management.
  • Ensure effective communication and deployment of Central HR policies at site level.
  • Assist with HR input for work winning pre-qualifications and tenders.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in a HR Generalist role.
  • Experience with TUPE, mergers and acquisitions, and employee relations.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ability to provide guidance on performance management and talent development.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
