Summary: Contract GCP DevOps Engineer is required for a fully remote role with a global organization for an initial 3-month contract. The position focuses on analyzing, auditing, and optimizing Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, particularly for Kubernetes workloads. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in GCP and a hands-on approach to improving cloud performance and security. This role is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of the current GCP infrastructure.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and risks in the current cloud setup.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap for infrastructure improvement and cloud best practices.
• Document the infrastructure and changes for internal knowledge sharing.
• Provide guidance on cost optimization, performance tuning, and security hardening.

Key Skills:

• Deep knowledge of GCP core services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Logging/Monitoring (Cloud Operations).
• Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Proficiency in Cloudflare and Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of networking concepts, technologies, and protocols.
• Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
