Summary: The Audit and Review Officer role at Swindon Borough Council involves assessing and improving the quality of Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments and plans. Key Responsibilities:

• Establish current status of EHC needs assessments, quality of EHC Plans, and annual reviews within the first month.
• Identify gaps in practice for individual children/young people and make recommendations for improvement.
• Report to the SEND Improvement lead weekly.
• Present to panels as required (e.g., High Cost Panel or Preparing for Adulthood Panel).
• Handle complex casework as needed to resolve child/young person’s plans.
• Utilize the Synergy system, with training provided if necessary.
