Summary: The role of Oracle Architect requires an experienced professional with expertise in Oracle installations, integrations, and upgrades, specifically from 12c to 19c. The position involves leading complex environment upgrades and installations within a non-cloud infrastructure, primarily using Red Hat systems. The successful candidate will contribute to a critical national programme, ensuring stability and performance through robust database management practices. DV clearance is mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading on the installation, integration and configuration of Oracle 19c environments (upgrading from 12c)
• Working directly with physical Red Hat 8 servers and VMs (non-cloud environment)
• Troubleshooting complex installations and performing partitioning, RAC and Data Guard configuration
• Managing performance tuning, RMAN backup and recovery, and high availability solutions
• Supporting database migrations using restore/backup and config alignment
• Collaborating with the lead architect to challenge and refine third-party design documentation
• Producing high-quality installation/configuration documentation that withstands technical scrutiny

Key Skills:

• Extensive Oracle Architect / DBA experience
• Oracle 12c to 19c upgrade and install experience
• Hands-on configuration from initial boot to full integration
• Deep understanding of Oracle RAC
• Deep understanding of Oracle Data Guard
• Deep understanding of RMAN
