Summary: The Operational Resilience / Business Continuity Manager will oversee the end-to-end project management of Disaster Recovery exercises within a leading banking institution. This role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to coordinate and lead various resilience activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position is focused on enhancing the service continuity framework and involves collaboration with multiple stakeholders. The role is based on-site and classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end project management of Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises on behalf of the Service Continuity team
• Organise and lead DR workshops and tabletop/desktop exercises, especially across infrastructure and cybersecurity domains
• Coordinate technology support for facilities-related activities (e.g., data center power down/power up events)
• Update and maintain internal systems of record to track application-level DR statuses
• Work closely with tech pillars to drive individual application-level DR testing
• Maintain and review DR-related documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory readiness
• Prepare and submit timely management reports related to DR activities, CHIP forums, and operational resilience practices
• Represent Service Continuity at formal forums and internal governance meetings
• Continuously improve the service continuity framework, aligned with PRA, DORA, and other relevant regulatory mandates

Key Skills:

• Proven ability to develop and execute scenario testing in line with regulatory expectations
• Experience in a financially regulated environment
• Strong technical infrastructure knowledge – networking, virtual servers, data replication, databases, and backup technologies
• Ability to interpret and challenge DR recovery plans with credible technical input
• Strong decision-making skills under pressure, particularly during live DR testing
• Capable of identifying and proposing risk mitigation and remedial actions for resilience gaps
• Experience of working cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and senior stakeholders
• IT project management skills (PRINCE2 preferred)
• ITIL Foundation (or above) preferred
• Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow
• Deep understanding of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Technology Resilience
• Comfortable leading whiteboard-style design and review sessions
