Summary: The Manufacturing Excellence Project Manager will be responsible for diagnosing operations and implementing innovative practices to enhance production performance within a global organization. This temporary role focuses on continuous improvement and requires strong collaboration with local teams to embed new methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a scientific background and a proven track record in manufacturing transformation projects. This position offers an opportunity to significantly impact operational excellence in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Manufacturing Excellence assessments to identify opportunities for throughput increases and develop actionable implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with local teams to enhance organisational capability and embed new ways of working.
  • Design innovative tools and train employees on standardised practises within the Production System.
  • Coach leaders and support multifunctional teams in adopting new methodologies, including Industry 4.0 skills.
  • Perform targeted audits on the Production System and recommend continuous improvement strategies.

Key Skills:

  • A relevant scientific background (Chemical Engineering, Production Performance, Maintenance) with proven manufacturing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing challenges and a track record in transformation projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in data analysis and visualisation tools to present complex information clearly.
  • A proactive approach to change management and a willingness to travel globally as needed.
  • A degree in industrial, engineering, or chemical sciences (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven project and programme management methodologies.
  • Resilience and the ability to navigate complex organisational structures.
  • Flexibility to travel to different sites as required.
  • A passion for coaching and developing others to embrace change.
