Summary: The Lead QA role involves owning the testing strategy and execution for product implementations, collaborating with various teams to deliver aligned test plans, and leading user acceptance and integration testing cycles. The position requires refining risk-based testing strategies and managing defect tracking processes while providing clear reporting on testing progress and quality metrics. Continuous improvement of testing practices and acting as a quality champion within the implementation program are also key aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end testing strategy and execution for product implementations from the product team into the project.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams to define and deliver test plans aligned to release scope and timelines.
  • Lead and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), system integration testing (SIT), and regression testing cycles.
  • Refine and maintain a risk-based test strategy covering functional, non-functional, and integration aspects.
  • Establish and manage defect tracking, triage, and resolution processes.
  • Coordinate with cutover and release teams to ensure test coverage of go-live scenarios.
  • Provide clear reporting on test progress, quality metrics, risks, and readiness.
  • Continuously improve testing practices, tools, and automation to drive efficiency and consistency.
  • Act as a champion for quality within the implementation programme and across the business to improve confidence of solution within programme.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in test management or quality assurance roles within enterprise software or SaaS environments.
  • Strong understanding of testing processes including SIT, UAT, regression, and test automation.
  • Experience working in Agile, and hybrid delivery environments.
  • Excellent coordination, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Zephyr or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
