Summary: The Internal Audit Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the internal assurance strategy for the Group during a one-year fixed-term maternity cover. This position involves collaborating with the Head of Internal Audit & Risk to implement audit plans, lead audits, and enhance governance and risk management frameworks. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and providing insights to the Audit Committee and Board. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in governance, risk, and control frameworks, along with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of Internal Audit & Risk to design and implement an annual internal audit plan.
- Lead the annual Material Control Assurance Programme and support the Board’s statement on material controls.
- Perform thorough testing of material control design and effectiveness.
- Lead audits from planning to reporting, delivering findings to management and stakeholders.
- Drive the evolution of Internal Audit methodology for improved processes and outcomes.
- Facilitate the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and track risk updates.
- Ensure efficient use of Risk Management, Internal Control, and Audit software.
- Build collaborative relationships across functions to foster transparency and accountability.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in their professional development.
- Assist the Head of Internal Audit & Risk with formal reporting to the Audit Committee.
