Summary: The role of Asset Quality Review and Credit Risk Subject Matter involves providing expertise in evaluating asset quality and managing credit risk for a London-based banking client. The position requires extensive experience in risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure adherence to financial regulations. The contract is set to last until March 31, 2026, with a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will implement solutions across the EMEA region, focusing on asset quality reviews and risk mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the quality of assets for Asset Quality Review.
- Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in asset portfolios, including non-performing loans and impaired assets.
- Ensure adherence to local and international regulations such as BASEL III.
- Report on asset quality findings and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with risk management and audit teams for AQR certification.
- Integrate systems to source and process data for risk and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and explain technical changes to non-technical audiences.
- Understand business and technical concepts to identify issues and escalate as necessary.
- Lead delivery stakeholders and motivate teams.
- Understand IT controls and the software development lifecycle.
- Manage Agile teams and apply Agile Scrum methodology.
- Utilize data mining and analytics tools such as Excel and SQL.
- Understand Basel II, III, IV, and various BIS BCBS regulations related to Credit Risk.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in asset quality review and credit risk.
- Strong risk assessment and regulatory compliance knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership skills for motivating delivery stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of IT controls and software development lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology.
- Experience with data mining and analytics using Excel and SQL.
