Summary: The Android Developer role is a 3-month contract position focused on rewriting a customer-facing app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. The successful candidate will provide technical guidance and mentorship at a Senior/SME level, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure best practices in mobile application development. This hybrid role requires extensive experience in Android development and a strong understanding of application architecture. The position is classified as outside IR35, allowing for flexible contracting arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and development of white-label mobile applications
• Help guide best practice for the setup of new Android applications
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to collate and understand requirements
• Work with the development team and provide technical guidance/mentorship

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience as an Android Developer with strong understanding of Android application architecture, lifecycle management, and UI design
• Strong Kotlin proficiency with solid understanding of Kotlin syntax, features, and best practices, including Kotlin Flows, extensions, and higher-order functions
• Strong Jetpack Compose experience and solid experience with Jetpack libraries
• Strong experience working on similar projects, having re-written Android applications from the ground up
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, as well as optimize application performance
• Restful APIs integration
• TDD, Unit Testing, Automated Testing
• Agile (SCRUM) methodology
• CI/CD, integration and delivery using Git & Azure DevOps
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
