They will manage resources, schedules, and financials throughout the project's life cycle. This includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.The Senior Project Manager will run the project on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that the project produces the required deliverables within the specified constraints of time and cost, and achieves the desired results.We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with experience in leading teams to deliver projects that span across one or more business units. You should have a strong background in managing resources, schedules, and financials throughout the project's life cycle. You will be responsible for managing issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.This is a hybrid position where you will work from any of our UK Aptia offices, as well as from your home address. It s a 6-month Fixed Term contract with a possibility to extend.What you ll be doingManaging a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.Providing on-site leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals.Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one or more initiatives simultaneously.Reporting on project success criteria results, metrics, testing, and deployment management activities.Working creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.Participating in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships that facilitate project success.Preparing estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the project.Procuring and managing adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes.Managing the day-to-day project activities and resources.Monitoring staff performance and complete performance reviews.Providing status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.Understanding interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.Managing ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution.Here s what we re looking forExtensive experience in project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.Experience with full product lifecycle with an understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle.Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, with experience presenting to stakeholders and/or Senior Leadership.Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate, and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment.Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities.Experience negotiating vendor contracts.Experience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary.Experience in successfully leading projects and programs on-time, on-schedule, and within budget parameters.Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding the team accountable for performance.Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executives, sponsors, team members, stakeholders, and peers.If you are interested in this role and then we d love to hear from you.
