Summary: The Campaigns Officer role is a newly created position within a growing communications team, focused on delivering impactful public campaigns that foster positive change in transport, the economy, and regional growth. The officer will collaborate closely with the Senior Campaigns Officer and the Corporate Communications Manager to engage the public and stakeholders effectively. This hybrid role requires a creative professional with hands-on campaign experience and strong communication skills. The position is a 6-month contract based in Huntingdon, requiring one day per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and delivering a range of public-facing campaigns, from boosting bus use to promoting economic growth
- Using a mix of channels - digital, social, media, email, print - to reach a wide range of audiences
- Measuring campaign performance, using insights to improve and innovate
- Working with teams across communications, policy, and public affairs
- Keeping messaging on-brand, consistent, and audience-focused
- Representing the campaigns team and occasionally stepping in for the Senior Campaigns Officer
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience in campaign planning and delivery
- Strong knowledge of communications channels - especially digital and social media
- Skilled in writing for different platforms (social, press releases, newsletters, web)
- Comfortable working with data and analytics to measure campaign impact
- A team player with great relationship-building skills
- Organised, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple projects
