Summary: This role is for a Platform Engineer on a 12-month day rate contract based in Galway, focusing on voice, digital, and telephony systems. The position requires expertise in Agile methodologies and software automation, along with a strong understanding of enterprise-scale platform architecture and various communication protocols. The candidate will be responsible for system installations, configurations, and troubleshooting, particularly in VoIP and data networking environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage voice/digital/telephony systems.
• Utilize Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) for project management.
• Design and maintain enterprise-scale platform architecture.
• Work with web, telephony, and data communication protocols.
• Manage Docker containers and CI/CD pipelines.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot softphone software.
• Perform system backups, reboots, and documentation.
• Provide troubleshooting, unit testing, QA, and UAT support.

Key Skills:

• Experience in voice/digital/telephony systems.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of enterprise-scale platform architecture.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (HTTP, SIP, TLS/SSL, TCP/IP, SNMP, LDAP, RDP, SDP).
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD tools (uDeploy, Ansible).
• Working knowledge of VoIP and data networking.
• Softphone software installation and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with system backups and documentation.
• Ability to provide QA and UAT support.
