This role is home based with a requirement to attend up to 2 staff away days each year in Northamptonshire.Greatwell Homes owns and manages more than 5,000 homes in and around Wellingborough in Northamptonshire and our vision is Great communities where people live well .We are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave who can support budget holders to translate our corporate plan and business as usual activities into a robust budget and financial forecast and, in collaboration with budget holders and the wider business, develop fit for purpose reporting solutions to monitor and track financial performance.You will be an experienced people manager with a track record of developing a high performing team driving efficiency in working practices.Within This Role Your Main Responsibilities Will IncludeLead on supporting budget holders to transform their strategic and operational goals into working budgets to facilitate robust financial forecasts Provision of fit for purpose, timely and accurate corporate reporting to monitor financial targets and tailored to meet the needs of different audiences Managing a high performing business partnering team in line with Greatwell Homes performance management framework Ensure efficient processes are in place maximising opportunities to automate through effective use of business systems and technology Supporting the wider finance team to achieve strategic and operational objectives Representing the finance team in wider corporate projects as required What We Are Looking ForOur successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:Relevant professional accounting qualification / or QBE Experience in a senior operational finance role to include responsibility for and development of corporate reporting Collaboration with budget holders and the wider business to produce robust budgets/reforecasts Experience of managing / supervising a team Knowledge of finance including legal, regulatory and operational issues in a housing association or similar context Effective communication skills Ability to interpret and explain financial information at a corporate level but also have an eye for detail to ensure accuracy You will enjoy the challenge of a dynamic working environment where priorities can change at short notice but will be used to managing periodic tasks such as leading on the production of the management accounts and managing the annual budget setting process.In return we offer a competitive salary, pension contributions and flexible working arrangements.To apply for this vacancy, please read the job description and person specification and, in your supporting statement, provide practical examples to demonstrate how you meet the requirements for the role as described in the advert.
