Contract Duration: November to March (3-4 months)

About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in scientific or health laboratory operations and familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). This role requires hands-on engagement with scientific teams to understand and document laboratory processes, equipment, and workflows, contributing to an impactful data flow analysis across multiple labs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct onsite visits to laboratories in Colindale, Porton, and Chilton.
  • Engage with scientist users to gather insights and document their requirements.
  • Develop a high-level inventory of lab/medical equipment.
  • Create comprehensive as-is/to-be process maps and data flows for each lab.
  • Prepare 12 individual discovery documents summarizing findings and recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a scientific or health laboratory setting.
  • Strong understanding of LIMS and related technologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to independently manage site visits and stakeholder engagements.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with process mapping, documentation, and lab equipment management.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, able to convey technical findings to non-technical audiences.
