Change are partnering with a Global Financial Services client based in the heart of Glasgow City Centre to recruit an Accountant to their team. With responsibilities spanning both the production of financial statements and regulatory returns, the successful applicant will join a business where they are given autonomy and stretch in their duties and role.The client are looking for individuals that are recently to 5 years post qualifying and have a strong grasp of statement preparation but can mix this with engaging with stakeholders and the wider business. Core skills will include;Production of Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS - working closely with the business to validate and ensure the accuracy of movementsResponsible for month end ledger close and supporting commentary and analysis of movementsPreparing and presenting financials to board and senior stakeholders to highlight trends and relevant movementsResponsible for assisting and taking a lead in regulatory returns for the relevant entities under remitProactively enhancing and looking for areas to improve outputs and production methodsStrong communicator, both written and verbalApplicants for the role will have a grounding from Financial Services or wider Audit, Statement production or the auditing of financial statements under IFRS.
