The work typically involves querying databases to extract relevant data, cleaning and preparing data for analysis, conducting exploratory and descriptive analysis, building dashboards and reports for business stakeholders, and presenting findings in a clear and actionable way. Clients expect Data Analyst contractors to bring centre on strong SQL proficiency, which is the foundational skill across almost all data analyst roles.
