Summary: The role of HR Data Architect focuses on transforming the HR data landscape by designing and implementing a robust HR data model, particularly within a Workday environment. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance while facilitating the migration from legacy systems. The architect will also prepare data structures that support reporting and analysis needs. This role is primarily independent but requires on-site presence once a week in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the current state of HR data and lead efforts to transform and standardize it
- Design and implement a best-in-class HR data model, including descriptors, labels, and identifiers
- Prepare data structures that support Workday workbooks and reporting requirements
- Work closely with HR, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure data design aligns with business needs
- Support data governance, quality, and integrity initiatives across the HR data domain
Key Skills:
- Proven experience working with HR data in complex environments
- Strong knowledge of HR data models, especially within a Workday context
- Hands-on experience physically transforming HR data, not just conceptual design
- Familiarity with data migration processes, including source-to-target mapping
- Attention to detail when defining data structures, naming conventions, and classification
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
