Summary: The Workday HCM Functional Lead - Absence & Compensation role is focused on leading full lifecycle Workday HCM implementations, particularly in Core HR, Absence, and Compensation. This client-facing position requires strong stakeholder engagement and functional expertise to manage complex deployments within a global programme. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage full lifecycle Workday HCM implementations (Core HR, Absence, Compensation)
  • Gather requirements, configure solutions, conduct testing, and support deployment
  • Provide functional expertise and guidance to clients and internal teams
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration and solution delivery
  • Deliver training and support to drive user adoption and system optimisation
  • Stay current with Workday product updates and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery methodologies

Key Skills:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Workday HCM
  • Minimum of five full lifecycle Workday implementations
  • Strong configuration knowledge of Workday Core HR, Compensation, and Absence
  • In-depth understanding of HR processes and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills and proven client-facing experience
  • Ability to manage complex, global implementations independently and collaboratively
  • Additional expertise in Absence, Time Tracking, or Recruiting (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a consulting environment (desirable)
  • Multilingual candidates preferred (Spanish and Portuguese highly desirable; Czech, Romanian, or Bulgarian also beneficial)

Location: London - Hybrid 2 days per week on-site

Contract Type: Inside IR35

Day Rate: Up to £850 per day

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Functional Lead with a strong track record in delivering end-to-end Workday implementations, specifically across Core HR, Absence, and Compensation.
