Summary: The Welder Fabricator role involves the welding and fabrication of sheet metal sub-assemblies, frameworks, and pipework. This is a 6-month contract position based in Burnley, outside of IR35. The candidate will be expected to read technical drawings and ensure quality standards are met. The role requires both technical skills and the ability to work to project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welding & fabrication (TIG & MIG) of sheet metal sub-assemblies, frameworks and pipework.
- Reading & interpreting technical engineering drawings / specifications.
- Inspecting & measuring finished products, ensuring they are in line with specifications / quality standards.
- Identifying & reporting any defects.
- Working to project deadlines.
Key Skills:
- Apprentice Trained or Time Served with City & Guilds qualification.
- Experience with TIG & MIG.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Must be able to inspect to specifications.
- Experience of fabrication in stainless steel or mild steel.
