Summary: The VMware & Storage Recovery Engineer is responsible for leading the recovery of VMware vSphere/vCenter infrastructure following a breach. This role involves reconfiguring and restoring various components of the infrastructure, troubleshooting storage solutions, and documenting configurations to assist with stabilization. The position requires extensive experience in enterprise VMware environments and hands-on knowledge of HPE infrastructure and Pure Storage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead recovery of VMware vSphere/vCenter infrastructure post-breach
- Reconfigure and restore ESXi hosts, vSwitches, datastores, and clusters
- Troubleshoot and restore HPE ProLiant/Synergy and Pure Storage LUNs
- Perform vMotion, HA/DRS setup, and replication validation
- Document all restored configurations and assist with stabilization
Key Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience in enterprise VMware environments
- Hands-on with HPE infrastructure and Pure Storage
- Understanding of snapshot and backup-based VM recovery
- Experience in DR scenarios and rebuilds
