Summary: The VMware Consultant role involves senior responsibility for designing and deploying advanced VMware solutions for a leading client on a contract basis. The consultant will enhance customer VCF deployments by leveraging new features and collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders. This position is hybrid and classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy cutting-edge VMware solutions.
- Develop customer VCF deployments to maximize new release features, including upgrades and optimizations.
- Liaise with specialist technical teams to assess requirements.
- Engage with various stakeholders within the customer team.
Key Skills:
- Strong background in designing VMware solutions with hands-on responsibilities.
- Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation infrastructure platforms, including version 5 and VCF9.
- Strong design skills and ability to implement designs into existing infrastructure.
- Experience with vRealize cloud management tools (including those within Aria).
- Skills in automation using Python, PowerShell, and JavaScript.
- Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eligibility and willingness to undergo security clearance (SC) is advantageous.

VMware Consultant - Contract - Hybrid working (London) - £competitive
Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a VMware Consultant to work at a leading client of ours on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will take senior responsibility for the design and deployment of cutting-edge VMware solutions, and will also be required to develop the customers VCF deployments to maximise the use of new release features, including upgrades and optimisations.
It will also be a requirement of the role to liaise with specialist technical teams to assess requirements, and to engage with a number of stakeholders within the customer team.
The role will be worked on a hybrid basis, and is deemed to be Inside IR35.
Experience required:
- A strong background in the design of VMware solutions, having blended hands-on responsibilities with a lead role
- Experience gained across VMware Cloud Foundation infrastructure platforms, including version 5 and also having an awareness/working knowledge of the features of the newest release VCF9.
- Strong design skills and the ability to implement designs into existing infrastructure.
- Experience with vRealize cloud management tools (including those within Aria)
- Skills in automation, with experience using Python, PowerShell and JavaScript
- Ability to engage with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).
