Summary: The role of Structural Design Engineer involves supporting a leading design team in Glasgow on building structures, primarily focusing on structural analysis and design using Tekla Structural Designer. This contract position is outside IR35 and offers a hybrid working arrangement. The engineer will be responsible for producing calculations, coordinating with architects, and managing their own workload to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural analysis and design of frames and elements using Tekla Structural Designer.
- Produce calculations and notes, and support drawings and mark-ups.
- Coordinate with architects and MEP, responding to design and site queries.
- Manage own work to meet deadlines in a hybrid setup.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in building structures using Tekla Structural Designer.
- Solid understanding of Eurocodes and UK NAs, stability, and foundations.
- Experience with refurbishments and alterations, Tekla Tedds, and Revit is desirable.

Experience
- Proven buildings experience using Tekla Structural Designer day-to-day.
- Structural analysis and design of frames and elements in Tekla Structural Designer.
- Produce calculations/notes; support drawings/mark-ups.
- Coordinate with architects/MEP and respond to design/site queries.
- Solid grasp of Eurocodes/UK NAs, stability, and foundations.
- Ability to run your own work to deadlines in a hybrid setup.
- (Desirable) Experience with refurb/alterations, Tekla Tedds/Revit.
