Summary: The role of Virtualisation Consultant involves supporting a VMware environment and utilizing various technologies for deployment and orchestration. The position is a 6-month contract inside IR35, requiring a mix of on-site and remote work in Sheffield. Key Responsibilities:
- Support VMware environment and associated technologies including vSphere, vCenter, vROPS, NSX, and SAN.
- Utilize development and automation tools for deployment and orchestration.
- Implement VMware migration strategies and methodologies.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with VMware technologies.
- Proficiency in development and automation tools (e.g., vRealize Automation, Ansible, git, GitLab, Jenkins).
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., Shell Script, PowerShell, Python).
- Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Linux Servers and Windows Servers).
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
