Summary: The Vehicle Test Engineer role involves conducting vehicle testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vehicle testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols for vehicle systems and components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical vehicle systems and components to identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement test methodologies and equipment.
- Monitor and report on test results, including issue management to ensure targets are achieved.
- Develop equipment specifications and installation requirements, ensuring safety and manufacturing needs are met.
- Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders to drive DFM and best manufacturing practices.
Key Skills:
- Experience in data acquisition systems and data analysis for vehicle testing.
- Good understanding of vehicle testing processes and production.
- Experience of leading quality concern resolution with tools such as 8D, 5why, and fishbone diagrams.
- 6 Sigma project leadership experience.
- Degree or equivalent experience required.
