Summary: The Validation Engineer (Mechatronics) will join a multidisciplinary team to provide manufacturing support and drive New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts during the company's transition from PerkinElmer to Revvity. This role involves taking ownership of product design and manufacturing processes, collaborating with R&D and stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality outputs. The engineer will lead project teams, manage risks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. A strong background in engineering, particularly in manufacturing processes and CAD, is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with manufacturing operations, R&D, and other departments to implement changes and ensure operational success.
  • Translate product requirements into functional specifications and evaluate prototypes for design feasibility.
  • Lead project teams, ensuring clear communication, task delegation, and progress monitoring.
  • Develop and execute risk management plans and conduct business risk planning.
  • Liaise with the New Product Design team on DFM, testing, and manufacturing timelines.
  • Contribute to product development from analysis to documentation and testing.
  • Drive continuous improvement of mechanical engineering processes.
  • Maintain strong communication with team leaders and management.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Key Skills:

  • BSc, MSc, or equivalent degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong grounding in Chemistry and Physics with advanced understanding of optical systems.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering role, particularly in NPI and volume manufacturing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities using methodologies like 5 Whys and Fishbone diagram.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
