Summary: Tower Hamlets is looking for experienced Senior Social Workers to join the Assessment & Duty Team, focusing on frontline Children's Services. The role involves conducting assessments, managing caseloads, and safeguarding children while working in a supportive and fast-paced environment. Candidates will have the opportunity to develop their skills and contribute to the well-being of children and families in the borough.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking high-quality assessments to identify needs and risks for children and families.
- Managing a varied caseload involving Child in Need, Child Protection, and Court cases.
- Responding to referrals and working alongside other professionals in a multi-agency setting.
- Ensuring timely interventions and best outcomes for children and young people.
- Providing expert guidance and supervision to junior staff where necessary.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years post-qualified experience in Children's Social Work, preferably in an Assessment & Duty Team.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced frontline team.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills when managing risks.
- Must be able to commute to Tower Hamlets (office-based at least twice a week).
- Registered with Social Work England.
