Summary: The Test Manager role in Lancashire involves leading and managing testing activities for an ongoing IT project, focusing on user acceptance and operational acceptance testing. The position requires a hands-on approach to support team members with limited testing experience and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines. The role offers flexible hybrid working arrangements, with a minimum expectation of three days in the office each week. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective testing processes and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage all phases of testing, including user acceptance testing and operational acceptance testing.
- Lead and manage the test team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
- Ensure the availability and integrity of test environments.
- Oversee the defect management process, ensuring timely identification, severity prioritisation, reporting, and resolution of defects.
- Provide regular test reports and metrics to project stakeholders, highlighting progress and risks.
- Effectively communicate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Quickly integrate into an existing project and adapt to the current teams working practices.
