Test Lab Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble test rigs and test properties to meet required specifications.
• Operate rig control systems to ensure accurate and representative test conditions.
• Use data acquisition and instrumentation systems to collect robust and reliable data.
• Inspect and maintain rigs, diagnose issues, and ensure timely and effective repairs.
• Conduct inspections to identify issues and support root cause analysis.
• Maintain meticulous test process documentation, including reports, logs, and plans.
• Coordinate fixture design and manufacture as needed, in collaboration with the design team.

Key Skills:

• Technical knowledge and experience in test facility operations and sample preparation.
• Understanding of data acquisition and closed-loop control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to technical challenges.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to interpret engineering documentation.
• Familiarity with Health and Safety standards, including Risk Assessments and COSHH.
