Summary: The Test Analyst role involves working within an Agile delivery team to develop and execute testing strategies, including Functional System Testing and Integration Testing. The position requires strong analytical skills to assess customer requirements and technical documentation, as well as the ability to create test plans and scripts. Candidates must hold or be eligible for SC Clearance and have experience with various testing tools and methodologies. This is a hybrid position requiring two days on-site work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write a Test Approach document and carry out Functional System Testing and Integration Testing.
  • Support E2E testing on one or more projects.
  • Analyse customer requirements and technical documentation to identify test scenarios.
  • Prepare test data and run/record tests.
  • Verify outcomes against expected results and maintain audit trails.
  • Create low-level test plans, test scripts, and set up test data.
  • Provide regular status reports to the Delivery Manager.
  • Identify and raise project and product risks and issues.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with Talend as an ETL tool.
  • Testing experience with Oracle RDS solutions.
  • Functional System Test experience.
  • Familiarity with test tools (e.g., Test Automation, Postman).
  • Agile methodology experience.
  • Data Warehouse and Data Migration experience.
  • Proficient in writing Test Approach and Test Completion reports.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Test Management Tools (e.g., Zephyr).

Detailed Description From Employer:

Test Analyst - 6 months - Hybrid (2 days onsite) - INSIDE IR35 - up to £350 per day

The role will involve working in an Agile delivery team, writing a Test Approach document, carrying out Functional System Testing and Integration Testing, supporting E2E testing on one or more projects.

Activities include analysing customer requirements and technical documentation, identifying test scenarios, writing test scripts, test data preparation and running/recording tests. This role requires an excellent understanding of test techniques and Risk Based Testing (RBT) in order to verify outcomes against the expected results, and record results for use in audit trails. You will be working closely with the delivery team and key stakeholders to achieve the required business objectives. Checking and assessing requirements, including assessing testability of designs. Creating low-level test plans, test scripts and setting up test data. Providing regular status reports to the Delivery Manager as well as identifying and raising project & product risks and issues.

SC Clearance is needed so ideally you will hold current and active SC Clearance or be eligible to Clearance
