Summary: The Technical Programme Manager will lead a large client implementation, focusing on .NET technical aspects, and is responsible for the overall direction and execution of projects in alignment with company strategy. This role requires on-site presence in Bristol two days a week, with occasional travel to Liverpool. The position is initially for six months, with potential for extension, and involves managing cross-functional teams and ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead medium-size projects consisting of multiple projects/products.
  • Take financial and contractual responsibility for the project scope.
  • Define project governance and reporting structures, proactively identifying risks and challenges.
  • Negotiate contracts and define clear roles and responsibilities for the team.
  • Coordinate cross-discipline team members to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Oversee resource allocation and project-related procurement processes.
  • Act as an escalation point towards higher management.
  • Prepare status reports and establish effective project communication plans.
  • Facilitate change requests and manage customer satisfaction regarding project deliverables.
  • Conduct post-project lessons learned processes and share findings with stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in leading smaller IT and/or business process projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus; CAPM or Prince2 Practitioner certification is required.
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of project management financials and basic business financials.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills.
  • Strategic and innovative thinking abilities.
  • Ability to inspire and challenge teams to deliver great customer service.
