Summary: The Technical Product Developer at Radley London will oversee the technical aspects of product development for leather handbags, small leather goods, and accessories. This role demands collaboration with designers and suppliers to ensure quality and compliance throughout the development process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leather goods and technical product development, managing projects from prototypes to production. This position is a fixed-term contract covering parental leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Technical Assistant based in Milton Keynes DC, including a weekly visit.
  • Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to develop new leather handbags, small leather goods, and accessories.
  • Evaluate prototypes and create technical workbooks to assess risks with the supply base.
  • Work with manufacturers to ensure quality and timely development up to production.
  • Assess prototypes and raw materials, ensuring required tests are conducted for quality compliance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers throughout the development process.
  • Track and ensure timely sealing of all contract seals into the business.
  • Ensure all production material specification cards are sent as per the critical path and provide approval based on Radley standards.
  • Provide clear and effective support to both internal and external customers.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required to support colleagues or project work.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product development and technical for leather goods.
  • Strong understanding of technical requirements related to testing and compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of leather goods production processes and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying information to stakeholders.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
