Summary: The Technical Architect/Tech Lead role in Havant involves managing workloads and supporting the Target Architecture through technical assessments and proof of concepts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritising and managing own workload, and others as required.
  • Supporting the Target Architecture through technical impact assessments and proof of concepts.
  • Creating engineering build documents based on design assumptions.
  • Managing backlog planning and repositories.
  • Overseeing the delivery of productionised infrastructure following Azure best practices.

Key Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in IT or a related discipline.
  • Experience in applying agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud services including Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service.
  • Familiarity with Intune Service, Entra ID, and application lifecycle management.
  • Understanding of APIs, Web services, Microservices, and serverless compute.
  • High-level knowledge of development processes such as DevOps, Scrum, Kanban, and lean development.

Job Title: Tech Architect / Tech Lead

Location: Havant

Mode of working: Hybrid (1 day a week)

Duration: 6+ Months contract.

Job Spec:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for prioritising and managing own workload, and others as required
  • Supports the Target Architecture, through the creation of technical Impact assessments, running proof of concepts to test the design assumptions and turn this into engineering build documents.
  • Support backlog planning, manage repos, oversee the delivery of productionised infrastructure following Azure best practise.

Business Knowledge

  • Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") business strategy and goals, along with short-term perspectives of situations
  • Basic knowledge of information principles and policies
  • Basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting

Essential Functional / Technical Skills

  • Ideally an undergraduate degree in IT or a related discipline
  • Experience in applying agile methodologies and supporting context, such as governance, process and culture
  • Knowledge of the following technical disciplines: Cloud Services covering Infrastructure, Platform and Software (…..as a service) I Azure.
  • Intune Service, including packaging and application lifecycle
  • Entra ID Usage and Insights reporting, Groups and Memberships.
  • Application development, DevOps, CI/CD
  • Hybrid Network design
  • Middleware Servers and storage
  • Database management
  • Operations
  • Understanding of APIs, Web services, Microservices, Serverless compute and other Modern cloud native application architectures
