Summary: We are looking for a Tableau Report Builder / Administrator with extensive experience in Tableau dashboard development and analytics best practices. The role requires designing and optimizing dashboards, administering Tableau environments, and empowering business users through training. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and self-service capabilities within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize high-quality, visually compelling Tableau dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain data preparation workflows using Tableau Prep, ensuring data is clean, reliable, and fit for analysis.
- Administer Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud environments, including user management, permissions, extracts, and performance tuning.
- Enforce and promote Tableau best practices around dashboard performance, visual storytelling, and user experience.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into actionable insights, and deliver effective reporting solutions.
- Lead training sessions and coach business users on building their own dashboards and interpreting data outputs.
- Support governance efforts by establishing guidelines for dashboard development, documentation, and data security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau dashboards, data connectivity, and platform performance.
- Stay current on Tableau releases, new features, and industry trends to continually enhance the analytics ecosystem.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Tableau dashboard development and administration.
- Proficiency in Tableau Prep and data preparation workflows.
- Strong understanding of analytics best practices and data visualization techniques.
- Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud administration.
- Ability to train and empower business users in data analytics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving skills related to data connectivity and dashboard performance.
- Knowledge of data governance and security practices.
- Familiarity with the latest Tableau features and industry trends.
