Systems Officer
6-month fixed term contract
Based in Burton On Trent
We are looking for a Systems Officer to join our friendly and dynamic team here at the Waterstones Book Hub in Burton On Trent. As a Systems Officer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the smooth flow of stock from suppliers through the hub and into our book shops while providing hands-on support across both operational processes and system functionality. This is a busy and varied role where we will provide full training, we are looking for someone with enthusiasm and the desire to learn. You will be supporting the team with a variety of tasks that include testing system fixes or configuration changes, resolving operational issues, and ensuring seamless system performance. This role is for a 6-month fixed term contract, with the potential for this to transition into a permanent position. Please note we work on a shift pattern which includes: Monday–Friday 06:00-14:00 10:00–18:00 14:30–22:30 This is on a three-week rota and then every fourth week you would work Sunday to Thursday.
What you will be doing
