Summary: Opticore IT is seeking a Systems Engineering Delivery Lead to oversee all programmes within their systems engineering team, focusing on datacentres, compute, hypervisor, O/S, and storage. The role involves managing multiple teams across various geographies to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery. This position is based in the London area on an initial 6-month contract, classified as inside IR35, with a requirement for two days a week at the client's headquarters. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing systems engineering projects and driving teams with competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive all programmes within the systems engineering team supporting datacentres, compute, hypervisor, O/S, and storage.
- Manage modernisation initiatives, EOL/EOS remediation, capacity expansions, and cloud migrations.
- Lead multiple teams across various geographies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience managing systems engineering projects.
- Technical background in relevant technologies (datacentres, compute, hypervisor, O/S, storage).

Opticore IT are currently searching for a Systems Engineering Delivery Lead to drive all programmes within our clients systems engineering team which support our datacentres, compute, hypervisor, O/S and storage team. You'll join our excellent team, based in the London area, on an initial 6-month contract, inside IR35, with scope to extend. Requiring 2 days a week in our client's HQ in the Central London area.
What you'll be doing:
- Driving all programmes within our systems engineering team which support our datacentres, compute, hypervisor, O/S and storage team.
- Programmes include modernisation initiatives, EOL / EOS remediation and capacity expansions and cloud migrations.
- Driving multiple teams in multiple geographies and ensuring projects are delivered to time and on budget.
What you'll bring:
- Has strong experience managing systems engineering projects (see above for specific technologies).
- Preferably has come from a technical background in any of the above technologies.
- Has strong experience driving teams across multiple geographies with resources with competing priorities.
- Is able to communicate and manage risks effectively.
