Summary: The Systems Engineering Delivery Lead at Opticore IT will oversee all programmes within the systems engineering team, focusing on datacentres, compute, hypervisor, O/S, and storage. This role involves managing multiple teams across various geographies to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery. The position is based in London and is initially a 6-month contract, classified as inside IR35, with a requirement for in-office presence two days a week. The role is part of a consultancy that operates across diverse sectors including Finance and Telecommunications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive all programmes within the systems engineering team supporting datacentres, compute, hypervisor, O/S, and storage.
- Manage modernisation initiatives, EOL/EOS remediation, capacity expansions, and cloud migrations.
- Oversee multiple teams across various geographies, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Opticore IT are currently searching for a Systems Engineering Delivery Lead to drive all programmes within our clients systems engineering team which support our datacentres, compute, hypervisor, O/S and storage team. You'll join our excellent team, based in the London area, on an initial 6-month contract, inside IR35, with scope to extend . Requiring 2 days a week in our client's HQ in the Central London area. Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.
What you'll be doing: Driving all programmes within our systems engineering team which support our datacentres, compute, hypervisor, O/S and storage team. Programmes include modernisation initiatives, EOL / EOS remediation and capacity expansions and cloud migrations Driving multiple teams in multiple geographies and ensuring projects are delivered to time and on budget.
What you'll bring: Has strong experience managing systems engineering projects (see above for specific technologies) Preferably has come from a technical background in any of the above technologies. Has strong experience driving teams across multiple geographies with resources with competing priorities Is able to communicate and manage risks effectively.
