Summary: The Supply Chain Coordinator role at a leading Aerospace organization in Filton involves managing the delivery of parts and services to meet customer needs. This hybrid position requires effective supplier management, daily communication with stakeholders, and the ability to optimize ordering processes. The coordinator will also support quality resolutions and new product introductions as necessary. The role is classified as inside IR35 and operates under an umbrella contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor purchase orders to ensure alignment to requirements
  • Optimise ordering parameters (safety stock/safety time, batch size, reorder point) in line with influencing factors (delivery performance, quality performance, economic order quantity, demand fluctuation)
  • Manage reordering tasks after rejection, scrap/damages
  • Monitor and manage delivery forecasts and ‘line of balance’ through regular interaction with suppliers
  • Perform monitoring through process performance measures and KPIs (Ordering measures, Missing Parts, Stock KPIs, Level of Service)
  • Ensure clear and regular communication to all internal customers based across the world and that the escalation process is initiated in a timely manner where required to avoid impacts to build through late supply
  • Participate in supplier performance reviews/provide performance feedback to supplier where required
  • Follow-up and support troubleshooting for delivery issues, Goods receipt, Technical/Administrative quality notice and invoices
  • Analyse MRP and Supply External Product exception messages
  • Where required monitor supplier stock and support the Scrap/Sell/transfer process

We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator for a leading Aerospace organisation based in Filton.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week on site, 2 days WFH.

Role Overview – The Supply Chain Coordinator, as process operator of ‘Supply External Products and Services’ process, has the accountability to monitor the delivery of the right part, at the right time, at the right quantity, to the right place in accordance with customer needs. This is delivered through:

  • Management of multiple supplier portfolio
  • Daily Supplier/Customer interface
  • Monitoring and improvement of first tier suppliers relationships
  • Use of appropriate logistic and ordering solutions
  • Supporting quality in the resolution of issues
  • Supporting new product introductions when required
