Summary: SQL DBA (AWS) is needed for an initial 8-month contract to manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases within an AWS Cloud environment. The role involves collaboration with development and infrastructure teams to ensure the performance, security, and availability of critical systems. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring three days in the office. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with SQL Server and AWS RDS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database administration, performance tuning, and optimization
- Managing backups, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions
- Ensuring database security and compliance with industry standards
- Supporting database migrations and upgrades
- Troubleshooting and resolving database issues efficiently
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2016+
- Familiarity with working with SQL within AWS cloud environment
- Strong production experience with RDS AWS SQL Server
- Experience with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
- Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Salary (Rate): £450.00 daily
