Summary: The Solutions Architect role in Glasgow involves designing and implementing comprehensive solution architectures for banking and payment systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end solution architectures for banking and payment systems.
- Translate business and technical requirements into solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and development teams to define architecture standards and integration approaches.
- Guide technology selection and design decisions across cloud, on-prem, or hybrid environments.
- Develop high-availability, low-latency, and secure solutions.
- Lead the evaluation and integration of third-party platforms (e.g., Core Banking, Fraud Detection, KYC, AML).
- Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle—from concept to deployment and support.
- Support DevOps, CI/CD, and agile delivery practices.
- Conduct solution reviews, performance tuning, and risk assessments.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 3–5 years in a Solution Architect role.
- Strong domain knowledge of Banking, Fintech, or Payments ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience with Payment gateways, card networks (Visa, Mastercard).
- Real-time and batch payment processing.
- Deep understanding of microservices, API architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and security frameworks.
