Summary: The Solutions Architect role involves driving digital transformation by delivering innovative, user-centric solutions across high-impact projects. The position requires collaboration with business stakeholders, Digital Labs, and Scrum Teams to design scalable solutions that align with strategic goals. The architect will provide expert guidance on technology and lead efforts to enhance business capabilities through innovation. This role is hybrid, based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business leaders and change stakeholders to shape, agree on, and deliver solution architectures that align with strategic goals.
  • Partner with Digital Labs and Scrum Teams to ensure designs and deliveries meet architectural standards and drive business success.
  • Provide expert guidance on technology, offering advice to both business and change stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to improve business capabilities and enhance user experience through new technologies and better ways of working.
  • Lead collaboration across departments, external partners, and organizations to deliver impactful solutions that meet user and business needs.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in technical and solution architecture within programs, projects, or product-centric organizations.
  • A track record of collaborating on technical standards, blueprints, and roadmaps to create seamless, integrated solutions.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills to work with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for continuous improvement, with a history of helping build solution design capabilities and mentoring others.
  • Delivery-focused and driven to achieve results.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Quick to grasp the existing business and solution landscape, with a keen eye for opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Exposure to Cloud Infrastructure & Security expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Platforms, such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in Cloud Native/Hybrid Cloud architectures, SAAS, IAAS, and PAAS.
  • Experience with Solution Integration and managing Integration Layers.
